Orders Raya 2011

salam semua;

fyi, seminggu sebelum start project raya, ff demam panas.. dh cuak sgt n rasa nk surrender.. tp Tuhan Maha Besar, 4 hari lepas tu ff dh sihat.. bile anak sihat baru ada upaya nk start baking.. but still kene monitor ff and amibik gambar pun ala kadar je sbb mmg target nk siapkan ikut piawaian.. sorry tau tak dpt nk shoot elok2 -__-


cuak jugak nk start ni sbb semua cake kene bake dlm masa yg singkat sbb nk fresh n time tu mmg dh start busy.. dhlah saya ni jenis tak manage punya org.. but lesson learnt. project kali ni buat sy bersiap awal sbb nk elakkan stok abis kat kedai (semua para bakers and pembuat cookies raya pun berebut beli stok) ..


thanks to my beloved customer yg sentiasa bg semangat & sokongan tak berbelah bagi.. alhamdulillah semua order siap on time.. hopefully semua kek menepati citarasa & hanya tuhan yg dpt membalas jasa baik kalian... ada rezeki, kita jumpa di lain masa ye . ok, meh layan gambar2 yg sempat sy captured kali ni :)

Alhamdulillah, masih diberi nafas segar oleh Tuhan menghirup udara kehidupan. To my beloved customer yg telah mengconfirmkan order cake, kita jumpa mengikut jadual yg ditetapkan ye.. doakan saya sihat sentiasa supaya dapat baking dgn baik & deliver on time..

sorry for a long silence.. i'm still alive and kicking, cuma tu la.. idea takde nk menaip :) ditambah pulak dgn cuaca tak menentu ni (excuse .. excuse)..


so far, cakes still bake mcm biasa. thanks to those yg tak jemu2 mencuba YBTC. glad to tell you, i'm fully booked until early of middle june. ada jugak yg dh order smpai dec 2011, eh kak hawa lagi dasat jan 2012!.. doakan saya sentiasa sihat n boleh bake cake dgn ceria/happy & err.. penuh kasih sayang :P ..


since my op still busy n sedang menyesuaikan diri dgn env baru, most of cakes mmg pakai BB. design baru pun tak byk sbb most of customer request repeated design. hajat nk cuba resepi baru pun tak on-on.. forgive me :( .. i'm thinking to enter refreshment class, boleh bake cake2 baru since i've been eyeing new taste. tp tula.. masa belum mengizinkan .. skang ni pun, jarang stay up lewat but i wake up early.. seawal jam.. err 430am! rasa lagi fresh semenjak dua menjak umur dh meningkat ni.. uhuk uhuk ...


okla, meh layan my innocent cakes for last weeks while i still mengejar this week punye dateline :) .. wish me luck!

since korean strawberry is temporary not available, so i tukar guna driscoll n cameron. driscoll more sweeter tp shape tak lawa. chubby sikit :P .. cameron masam tp sexy body! huhu.. i put driscoll in the middle and cameron kat tepi2.. gile complicated eh??? yeahhh, this is me si penggila strawberry.. i know in and out tauu! jgn tipu :D

ps: did i tell you, i will deliver my next cake to another dr a.k.a beauty consultant.. i've seen her for some advice, skali tertukar fb.. she direct call me after that. ingat nk ckp pasal xxxyyzzz. rupanya nk order carrot cake! huhu.. emm.. kene kaji sikit different approach.. thanks dr datin fuz*m*h.. looking fwd to meeting you soon :)

baking is such a crazy hobby! tak gila kalau buat secara berwasatiah. but being me, "the degil one".. i hardly refused order. lagi2 kalau org tu dh byk kali request. pastu awal2 dh request T__T .. rejecting them mcm, satu batu berat atas kepala. and due to this, pls pls.. place orders sebulan awal. tak kompem takpe janji alert me.. at least boleh susun2 jadual..


but i should berpijak dibumi yg nyata. aku hanya part timer. ada keje hakiki, ada anak dan suami yg perlu dipertanggungjwbkan.. hehe.. thanks hubby, for your understanding dan terima kedegilan isterimu ini (i will impove, sy janji!) .. but this week, another CRAZY WEEKS! .. bake till dawn *__*

to interesting projects line up;

• Cuppies & doll cake for little princess . kali ni mama dia request paper liner. huh, my biggest weakness.. takpe, tak try tak tau kan? dhlah every year mmg place order so takkan i nk buat remeh2 je.. most important item yg still pending adalah spiral lollipop. ughhhh!! tak boleh lekaaa kene carii cepatt ni
  

• *anniversary cuppies for sweet couple

• baby shower cuppies : yes, my first attempt ni.. brg2 dh beli tinggal nk kick start je. theme : light yellow & baby blue.. aww

• birthday cuppies. bake je baru, brg2 decoration tak start cari lagi. aiiyooo. lembssss la yulie!

• rvcc for someone far far away (cewahh mcm jauh kan, dh namanya luar melaka i assume jauhla :D) . she's my cyber friend and i'm feeling happy sbb dia sanggup cuba nasib try YBTC punye production kan. since dia kata freestyle je so i come out dgn my idea. cannot reveal la sbb takut tak jadi. but i'm thinking something simple but classy (which i believe suit her well!)
  

• 10inch square cake with transformer edible image. happy sbb this customer tak berkira pasal cost. i submit xx price but she added few xx so jadila xxx.. ni first time i nk buat kek lagi besar dari biasa. hubby dia quite supportive & diorg design sendiri gambar tu with perfect colour. so teranggg jadinyaa masa printed. brg2 dh beli cuma nk kick start jugakkkk... hopefully semuanyaaa ok!

due to this exciting projects, start harini & weekend mmg fullhouse (sunday i reserved utk family) .. hopefully dikurniakan kesihatan yg baik supaya boleh baking dgn penuh kasih sayangggg :)

Barbie Cake @Melaka - Improved Version

i love barbie doll.. penah eyeing one masa kecik dulu tp cam biasa tak dpt. lol!! masa tu kitorg ramai2 pi bandar muar (read:naik kete sewa) dan tetiba 2 org abgku jerit2 excited

'yulie.. yulie.. ko nk tgk bab* tak???

time tu aku terkejut gile.. terus berlari2 ke arah mereka. ohh barbie doll rupanya.. ingat lagi moment tu, muka tersipu2 sambil mengusap patung tu. gile, rm50++ kompem tak dpt. baikla mak ayah beli beras ke takpun beli baju ke atau duit tu simpan buat kitorg skolah....


ye, kami bukan anak org kaya raya pun. mak siang malam buat ice cream, buat kerepek n abg2 jual kat skolah. kumpul duit tu, backup duit skolah kitorg smpai 6 org masuk U dan tak lupa entertainment akhir bulan, ayah sewa kete shopping la konon kat muar.. bahagiaanyaaa rasa..eh ternostalgia pulak. sorry ye akak emo :p


ok, back to barbie cake story. sebenarnya dgn tempoh setahun lebey baking from scratch ni aku masih lagi level amature. kdg2 buat kek tak jadi jugak. lol!! so barbie cake ni mcm big project la bagi aku disamping wedding cake. haih, kalau aku terer wat fondant cake one day ntah mcm mana terharu agaknya.. emo la ko yulie!


so, camner pun nk thanks kat kak june sbb dialah org pertama put trust on me suh buat kek ni. walaupun kek tu tak berpinggang awalnyaa.. hihi... so request kedua ni, adalah dari kak rafizah utem yg melihat contoh kek tak berpinggang. i told her once, i learn from mistake .. tp masa tu rasa ragu2 nk proceed sbb tgn dh penuh dgn prev order. so, aku try refer kat sorg lagi baker melaka sbb aku tgk kek dia lagi cun la compared to me.. falsafah aku satu je, rezeki kongsi sama2.. sbb kalau tgk chinese kan kalau kite cari barang takde kat kedai dia, dia akan recommend kedai lain.. i'm not perfect btw.. ni contoh je :P.. tp cake maker tu pun ada hal, so aku amik tanggungjawab ni balik. mmg risau tak sempat tp kak rafizah boleh tunggu. yeay!!


maka , berasaskan pengalaman terdahulu.. aku ada buat research sikit and trying to find the most appropriate doll yg boleh suit dgn cake ni. alhamdulillah dh baik dn SA bakery so keje jadi mudah. just call then pick up.. jimat masa sbb diorg boleh simpankan. (mcm beli designer handbag pulakk.. hehe)


kali ni, buat based jugak for this cake supaya more stable. tgk mcm kecik kan, tp actually cake ni pakai adunan sama dgn round choc cake (9"inch punye cake pan).. but look smaller sbb bentuk pun barbie dia mcm skirt and tinggi.. bawah tu pulak i add half adunan supaya jadi base.. tp still nmpk kecik gak sbb bakar pakai 9" square pan. i tell you, siap je semua kek ni.. makk aii sgttla berat. serious tak berani nk timbang sbb takut terbalik. nangiss i nnti :P


kek ni kan pakai byk buttercream. tu tak boleh elak sbb nk naikkan ilusi gown dia. kalau i terer mmg i buat gaun ala2 vera wang. malangnya belum smpai tahap tu .. kui kui.. but for me, buttercream alone mmg tak boleh masuk. maka, i apply prev method iaitu siram dulu choc ganache kat based n badan barbie sebelum apply buttercream.


lepas siram boleh biar camtu je ke??? NO WAY! lepas siram kan.. kene chill dulu for few hours supaya choc tu beku n tak bagi bad effect masa kite apply buttercream. if nk untung besar n nk keje mudah aku boleh apply je buttercream. tp being a emotional cake maker.. i wont do that.. kite bukan nk untung one time kan.. kesedapan tu penting supaya sentiasa dikenang smpai bila2.. so kek ni ada lapisan coklat didalamnyaa..


so lepas beku.. barula kerja-kerja mendecorations gown dijalankan.. kali ni aku buat during working days. maka, ku sms awal2 kak rafizah suh tunggu. alhamdulillah, i feel glad dpt customer yg sporting (most of them mmg sporting!! i lap u laaa!!), so dia pick up jam 10.30 mlm.. dptlah ku decorate dgn senang hatiii...


frankly speaking, despite kek yg dh stable aku masih belum puas hati actually sbb my real taste adalah gown vera wang tuuu.. simple tak byk beading/wave sana sini. tp ku harus sedar ilmuku masih cetek. nk cari ilmu tu pun tak nyompat2 dek oii... insyallah mana tau ada rezeki one day, akan kugali ilmu tu supaya sebati dgn jiwa... let time decide eh ;)

yg ni i ralat sikit sbb kejar masa so tak sempat nk amik proper pictures. now waiting pengantin hantar gambar senonoh. actually this is my first trial making stacked cake for wedding. tgk mcm kecik kan, tp actually cake ni quite big. then berat gile pulak. i combined 3 layer cakes. 2 pcs= 7" and base tu adalah 9" cake. berat tak timbang sbb takut terlepas. huhuhu...


cakes ni unique sbb pengantin takmo bunga2. so i choose australian cheery (ya allah sedapp gile cherry ni even quite pricey!). so ala2 english wedding sikit. menyesalll tak sudah tak dpt snap gambar. dush!

but never mind, everything happens for a reason. i will use the same approach for my next big wedding march ni (BIL) but of cos la ada bende lain yg i will not reveal yet. nnti tak surprise la kan.. hehehehe.. actually masih memikirkan the best concept.. insyaallah doakan idea menjana dgn cemerlang ye sbb masih tu YBTC dh jadi ala2 wedding planner. (ishkk baju tak beli lagi ni.. lense je dh booking.. hua hua hua)


final batch, ada 3 kotak cupcakes hantaran yg tak smpat snap gambar. gile busyyyy cny aritu. i stucked kat kitchen smpai sbtu 4am! takpela.. cabaran + rezeki kan ;)

special thanks to my dear tweetpeeps sbb sama2 menghangatkan keheningan malam. i baked like there's no other tomorrow to meet the deadline.. alhamdulillah, mula2 risau tak sempat tp sbb dgn ada2 org2 yg tak tido ni la malam2 ku terasa happening.


my decision to create tweeter acc mmg sgt2 berbaloi. i dont think twitter ni buang masa sbb we support each other even sorg2 tumbang ditgh pagi.. tp serious, rasa bersemangatt tau!


so my baking activities last week merangkumi;


a) 100pcs carrot cuppies with cream cheese frosting - azean
b) 75 pcs choc moist + yogurt peach - baei
c) 25 pcs choc cuppies - darling nadya
d) princess barbie cake + choc based - sis rafizah


i'm done + pengsan! huhu.. thanks to kak rafizah sbb sudi tunggu sy siap decorate @1030pm on friday sbb i've mentioned earlier yg last pick up adalah pada hari jumaat. seriously, ikut hati mmg sy nk je baked smpai hari ahad but i'm just a normal human.. kene rehat + kene entertain anak n suami jua... huhuhu...


and.. apology, lately ni tak semua cake dpt photoshoot sbb hubby dh start busy jugak.. so mana yg sempat sy photoshootkan tp mana yg tak sempat sy mintak maaf byk2 k, sometimes few cakes tu siap just before customer dtg. so, seriously tak sempat nk buat apa2!


ok peeps, let's enjoy few hours left ni before weekend ended.. sob sob.. wishing you the best Monday ever (huh!)
