ni demam pavlova ke apa ni? takde takde.. actually camni la bile dh dpt "rentak" pavlova .. happy sgt. lagi happy bila someone yg "expert" recognized & endorsed :)

Pavlova (LAGI)

serious, pavlova ni mmg pencetus mood baik. bile tgk terus hati jadi berbunga. my fav part masa susun buah. mmg tamak haloba. kalau boleh mmg nk selit buah mana yg ada. pavlova means nothing kalau buahnya ciput . syokk sgt menyusun, kembang kempis hidung tahan bau buah2 ni. nasib la puasa :P .. oh order kali ni, customer dh pesan nk less strawberry, maka saya ganti dgn grape yg juicyyy.. beli seplastik anggur , yg lebihnya saya ngap bersama suami & little ff :)))))


btw, buat masa ni saya jual pavlova satu size je. 1kg, RM65. ikutkan saya lukis 8 inch punya circle. tp taula tgn manusia (kata homemade kan? hehe), kdg2 terlebih & terkurang. kalau tertekan spatula lebih jadila 9 inch, kdg2 jadi 10 inch.. but basically, adunanya tetap sama & cake board saya pakai 11 inch. so jgn marah ye kalau sometimes pavlova saya tertinggi (kecik skit) and ter-rendah (jd lebar). buah2 insyaallah, selagi ada kt peti ais tu mmg saya penuhkan crust yg berbase cream ni hehehe

Pavlova!

nk share sikit cerita pasal pavlova. sepatutnya update gambar cake ni bila dh completed task seminggu. tp tak sbr punya pasal, saya update jugak harini. hehe..


if you ask my honest opinion which cake/dessert is the best, tanpa ragu2 akan ckp coklat cake sbb (i) saya mmg hantu coklat!  (ii) after beratus kali cuba, finally dpt texture coklat moist yg sgt2 menepati citarasa n mmg tak guilty la jual :) .. but baking pavlova is like a pride. kire kalau boleh bake pavlova tu mcm pas la jd baker (don't take it as serious ye, ni saya saje2 buat statement haha). ok, mcm kek2 lain. pavlova ni ada peminat dia yg tersendiri. contohnya my MIL. surprising jugak sbb she's not cake fan. tp masa 1st time cuba pavlova terus dia suka. so for me, pavlova ni unpredictable, unique n special.


pavlova ni buatnya quite simple. tak tricky n straight forward. tp she's not fall under forgiving recipe. kalau silap sikit tak boleh alter dah. mmg buang la jawabnya. dh tu ada few technique yg kene ikut. kdg2 kalau lupa jd larupa pavlova tp mmg terasa kecacatannya. aih, mmg saya panggil si dia ni 'budak over sensitif". kawan saya penah ckp, pavlova ni mcm tapai. kalau mood si baker out mmg outla jadinya dia. sensitif betul! lg satu, pavlova ni mmg manis asal kejadiannya. dh penah buat kurang manis tp dia tak stand well. tu sbb si baker kene ikut teknik2 yg betul supaya boleh sorok kemanisan si pavlova.


so nk jadi cerita, smlm ada la request from customer yg nk cuba pavlova. tak tanya pulak mana try makan. dibuatnya 1st try makan kt empire ke mati saya! org kata the best pavlova in town mmg kat empire shopping gallery tu. skali je saya penah jejak tempat tu masa beli kitchen aid dlu  .. tp tak sempat pulak p serai. Hopefully next time hubby boleh bawak p sana ;p


panjangnya bebel mana cerita pavlova ni?  ok, sambung.. pada pendapat saya yg cenderung ke coklat cake, u can still enjoy si pavlova but in certain condition



i) wajib makan sejuk2 & mesti bykk buah2 atas dia. baru blend well rasa crust+krim+buah2

ii) crust dia wajib crunchy betul. kenapa kene crunchy? sbb kalau crunchy takla bau egg white. Senang nk transfer ke cake board.




sebenarnya smlm buat pavlova 2 kali sbb yg 1st bake tu tak memenuhi spesifikasi. ada melted2 gula yg kantoi. adehh.. rasa bersalah pulak kalau bg customer version yg tu. so kuatkan hati, bake lagi skali. mmg kamikaze sbb ptg dia nk pick up dah. i only have 1 hour during lunch break. mmg betul2 pasrah & menyerah haha.




alhamdulillahh.. finally dpt crust idaman! :)

note:  pemilihan buah bergantung pd keadaan semasa ye. yg penting strawberry wajib! hehe

My Weekend

em, rasa rindu plak nk taip byk2 harini.. since ptg ni ada meeting (yeah, evening meeting -__-') so mcm ada gap masa nk mmembebel .. hehe..


so how's your weekend my lovely readers? mine mcm biasa busy je memanjang. ntah bile tak busy tak tau la kan.. hehe.. sometimes rasa penat, tp bila apa yg kite buat tu siap, rasa enjoy pulak.. jumaat tu mmg la maximum punya busy. since tunggu few customers. kali ni outsider (luar melaka) .. actually diorg tu returned customer.. tq adik nadia from bangi. dh 3 kali kot tak silap kita jumpa. penah jugaklah beli cake dpt mihun kes tgh2 tunggu dia termasak mihun byk. makan 2 org tak abis, ff bertuah la kan nk makan mihun. hehe.. rezeki nadia.. settle jumaat, lega rasa once semua delivered.. boleh la spend quality time watching fav movie ;) .. rasa release n ilang penat2 semua tu..


tiba sabtu, most awaited day sbb dh lama tunggu nk join baking class ni. since cake dia menarik2 n masa pulak mcm mengizinkan, so siapkan semua cake2 on friday termasuk nk bg hadiah aqiqah jiran sebelah.. sabtu tu, mmg dapur tutup. hee.. brunch terus since hubby nk tapau thai chicken rice so kirim nasi goreng belacan skali. sedap! mkn mmg licin.. hehe.. so siap2, gerak ke Geetha first sbb nk survey something then terus ke bakery. masa dtg tu ramai dh org, but luckily i dpt row depan. since ni demo class je (3 hours) so kene tgk betul2 tgn chef. sometimes bende yg dia buat tu mmg tak tulis dlm mana2 cake books, so bile tgk tu baru la kite dpt rahsia dia. this is the best thing joining class ni.. ikut hati semua class nk join, tp kene la berpijak di bumi yg nyata.. byk commitment ;)


ramai jugak attend petang tu.. dlm 36 org. so mmg gamat.. ramai otai2, so yg muda2 ni (muda ke? haha) .. buat2 diam n tgk je laa.. takpe, biar diam2 n ortg tak tau best gak kan.. hehe.. i'm blessed dgn apa yg ada skang. syukur alhamdulillah .. class ended @6pm++.. sian ff dh tdo kt car seat.. kejut n spent another quality time kt JJ.. tiba rumah 10pm. ok, jom tgk few piccas yg sempat snap before battery totally drained @630pm..

demo buat pavlova punya base. nmpk senang tp bile tgk, boleh tahan rumit. pass or fail, takde tgh2..
how to get the best pavlova? bake then tinggalkan dlm oven semalaman.. esok baru deco. phew!

filling dia awesome tp jenuh.. manual custard ye not instant one.. huhu
part ni suka.. variety of fresh fruits..
2 layers, 10 inch.. quite pricey sbb most of ingredients mmg mahal2..


my fav, cheesy carrot & walnut cake with cream cheese topping. patut sedap sbb pakai premium butter (anchor or scs) & cream cheese.. love this cake n insyaallah rasa kompiden nk buat since few techniques tu mcm dh apply before ni.. hopefully i can bake this cake as soon as possible :) .. love it!

vanilla cheezy fruit cocktail.. mak2 sure suka :) .. using premium butter jugak

my kid loves it!! wajib buat as her bday cake tahun ni. insyaallah ;)

using premium butter & italian buttercream. thinking to give option kot utk topping either (i) fresh cream or (ii) cream cheese .. italian buttercream tu tunggu mixer power beli.. hehe


then, ahad tu my best friend 'dr roha' come over.. so kids enjoy la makan2.. tp ff pulak conquer siap request " i want orange colour".. heheh.. priceless! *nadya n ff*
