when is the right time to teach your children **updated

As a working mom who works from Monday to Saturday I got limited time to spend with my little one. It doesn’t count if I need to travel and only reached home by 10pm (worse case until dawn!). Blame me for poor management .. well this is totally not a reason for neglecting my child’s need.

When I was small (about 6 or 7.. couldn’t remember exact age) my mom ask me to memorize multiplication table while she keep on doing her house chores (sama sidai baju dia akan make sure hafal betul. Satu salah mmg kene titikk la). She’s not highly educated( sian mak, blajar smpai darjah 6 je sbb hidup dia susah gile dulu) but still got her own style to guide his childrens (6 of us = alhamdulillah, 3 engineers, 1 executive and 2 graduated teachers ). My heart really touched and I cry like a baby when I found one supportive note she wrote to my brother with a messy handwritting and wrong spelling words (at that moment my brother still studying in boarding school.. rasa insaf sgt masa tu.. sedihnyaa..).. she did a lot of good things to us and we really apreciate it.

u know, life isn’t easy . we can ONLY change new uniform or new shoes if we got excellence result and get ready with your old and torn shoes if other way around (bad result). kalau kitorg amik exam2 besar mcm PMR/SPM or STPM .. mak mesti suh photostate exam schedule then dia pose nazar smbil bacakan quran/yassin masa exam berlangsung. mak kata biar anak dia terang hati masa jawap soalan2...

She’s a creative mom who find any motivation articles/true success story taken from newspaper and clipped on the wall for us to read and did the same thing to us memorize variety of doa (will make sure we read it before sleep). She just have one intention and she keep on telling us zillion times ‘mak taknak anak2 mak jadi mcm mak. Mak tak pandai sekolah tak tinggi .. pakai baju tak cantik sbb takde duit byk’. she’s totally wrong. She is genius but never had chanced to continue study due to poverty.

I don’t want this sad story repeated again but i do admirer her style. My parents give me enough knowledge and education so I should give better commitment to my children. Yes, there’s a lack skill about teaching but I will keep on trying (thanks to my blogging friend for all tips and sources) . Meanwhile, I found the best time to assist my child explore everything is during meal time. Her meal schedule will be on 1030am, 5pm & 9.30pm.. She loves creating her own design using her sticker piccas and the same time did ask me to sing a rhymes song (she admirer me while singing the speed verse of three blind mice.. haha). It’s really fun and get us much2x closer.

I teach her how to count 1 to 10 during bath time, A to Z on the way to baby sitter house and she get it very fast!. hopefully by time we moved on, things get better..

she learn how to mix all ingredient well agaknya :) ..i always ask for additional empty bowl set when eating out
she loves cooking set more than teddy bear.. jimat2x.. haha
her favourite book mickey & friends. provide sticker too
alhamdulillah, i'm full mama.. :)

sedih..sayu..

mak aku langsung tak penah sekolah...

baba aku penah sekolah tapi tak penah tp tak penah ajau aku...

bila kat rumah mmg takde motivasi pun..harap diri sendiri je...

tp diorg ada beri sokongan semangat je...pada aku itu dah cukup sgt walaupun setakat buatkan aku air kopi masa aku nak study malam...

apa pun pengorbanan diorg jadi semangat utk kita berjaya kan..

aku teringin nak jadi ibu yg beri motivasi penuh pada anak2...rasa kagum sgt dapat jadi camtu tau..

sedih kan.. tapi kan yulie, rasanya tak penting ibu tu berpendidikan ke tak.. yg penting diorg kuat semangat n kasik motivasi pada anak2.. my mother in law pun x de pendidikan tinggi, tapi dia selalu buat solat hajat kalau anak nak periksa, buat air doa utk anak minum, n walaupun dia x pandai belajar, tapi dia usaha jugak untuk baca buku anak2.. tu yg penting kan
