Red White Wedding Cake

sejak berkecimpung dlm dunia baking ni, ku mmg sgt obses dgn strawbearry. seriously, i personally think strawberry ni mmg antara ciptaan Allah yang amat2 ku kagumi & sgt2hargai. when i feel sad, down atau rasa mcm loser (sometimes we may feel that way kan?) .. ku akan gigit strawberry and menghayati rasa dia yg masam manis tu..


my first cake, masa tu bake sesaja sbb kawan dtg beraya, aku garnish with strawberry. seriously, walaupun ku ni takla sexy pun (cam neelofa tu kann..), tp bile buat cake ada strawberry terus menerus tahap kesexyan memuncak.. haha.. ni bukan cite tipu.. ni cite BENARRR .. cuma time tu tak berani la nk beli strawberry mahal2.. beli yg paling murah je :)

why strawberry ? i love their colours.. merah menyala. takde control2 n selindung2.. i think one of the factor yg buat org senang ingat cake sbb byk strawberry.. another plus point? read this!
so mmg tepat la kan kenapa aku suka sgt strawberry? .. maka, start dari kejadian tu, bermula la misi menggoogle strawberry hari2.. smpai la one day, i got request from melbourne (this is one of my best memories) to deliver surprise cake.. masa ni, kak noreen give me chance buat free style.. so apa lagi, tu yg terus2 menzahirkan apa yg aku obseskan selama ni..alhamdulillah, my cake have been recognized by many people lepas upload gambar tu. syukur sbb dpt byk positive feedback. jgn tanya la betapa tingginya semangat aku masa tu.. hehe.. *poyo mode*.. .. syukur n happy :)

setelah hampir 3 tahun berlalu... i'm here still applying the same thing. if you asked me to make superb and bake like a pro, i'm surrender.. penah gak nk try fondant but till this date, i didn't absorbed that skill.. tambahan pulak, masa n keadaan belum mengizinkan.. maka, dudukla saya di takuk yang sama.. trying to expand skill within my limit...


last week, for the first time.. i make a real 2 tier wedding cakes.. before ni ada jugak buat tp with lack of knowledge sbb tak berani sgt.. i prefer cake + cupcakes sbb my weaknesses adalah fobia nk combine cake sbb takut runtuh. huhu.. but since request demi request nk jugak kek bertiang .. i think ada 3-4 request this month alone.. so takde alasan, ni la masa nk challenge myself. again, not superb one.. but i'm loving it sbb cuak n pening dok mikir takut kek ni jatuh.. oh yes, kali ni not chocolate cake (chocolate cake is more stable n structural..) but.. THE ONE AND ONLY RED VELVET Cake.. double challenge sbb red velvet ni ku guna 4 layers utk bottom cake and 3 layers for top cake.. tdo tak lena sbb masa frosting tu mcm, aduii... fragile nya cake ni. but nothing impossible, kalau kene cara insyaallah pasti berjaya *ahaks*



masa study tu, ada baca .. buat cake ni umpama membina bangunan.. kalau kuat structure dalaman, maka kuatlah luaran .. masa frosting tu terasa mcm bancuh simen pulak.. hhee.. but i've learn from mistake, kene sabar n jgn terburu2.. so i frost layer by layer.. bg dlm kuat, chill it.. then baru buh tiang.. lepas buh tiang chill lagi... for this cake alone, i took 2 hours nk buat basketwave .. sbb the main actress ialah strawberry tu yg rasa basketwave is the most matching pair. glad masa borak2 dgn cpm yg manis ni, she let me do on my own way janji cantik n sedap.. love u girl! my mind tak block pun and idea lajuu je.. but one thing for sure, aku kan jenis cuak.. maka camner simple pun cake sure cuak tu tak ilang.. innocent baker, remember? :P

all in all, i've compeleted this task @1am++ .. tdo, bgn @630am smbung potong strawberry pulak.. ni dh byk kali kene, so aku sure ingat smpai bila2.. put strawberry just before customer nk amik cake.. fresh & more stunning nnti, insyaallah... when she came, alhamdulillah semua dh ready.. , *she's tall! sweet! and skinny!!* .. dah dua kali jumpa, cake punya pasal.. thanks babe for your supportive words and seriously enjoy buat cake ni.. hopefully one day, i'll make a better cake within my "limit" .. till then, enjoy this cake and i will surely enjoy myself while i'm away ( for one week!). take a good care semua!
